Really nice account of the crisis with views from the main players and regular folks from the time.

Fun concept that was executed pretty well. The author did the best he could to explain the contradictions forced on him by decades of lore. Good read if your Venn diagram of interests includes Star Wars and military history books!

Great overview of the conflict that also includes meaningful individual stories. Sir Max lets his personal views color the story a bit more than the average historian. However, I’d still recommend this to anyone who wants to learn the basics of the Vietnam War.

Just as good, if not better, than the First Law trilogy, and that’s saying something. Masterful work.
