Tense, couldn't put down. Twists and turns I didn't expect and gripping until the very end. NGL I got scared at one point.. not had that with a book before. Haha.

Super cosy read. Really enjoyed the characters and their journeys. There was a good mixture of women independence and adventure as well as some love and romance, not to mention some gossip and cute friendships.  A nice feel-good book mixed in with some tough emotional chunks.

Really enjoyed this book. Towards the end I found it a bit slow and predictable.. but then the ending picked it back up for me and I loved it. Definitely one I couldn't put down.

Wow. What a rollercoaster!
I've been wanting to read this for a very long time and it was well worth the wait. I love the 3 perspectives and each chapter being from a different perspective. Took me some time to get used to but it works so well. I couldn't put this book down. Just as you think you can see what's happening, it takes another turn.. this book had me guessing right up to the end. Brilliant. Highly recommend.

Brilliant book. Totally gripping, literally read for 3.5 hours tonight to finish this which is sooo not normal for me! I loved how everything unfolds and connects eventually. Looking forward to reading more Claire Douglas books.

Loved the town and characters but for me, it took too long to get into the story and she spent too much time trying to solve the crime. Wish they had delved more into the characters and wish she spent more time getting to know them outside of work hours. Would love another book after this with a different story but same characters, life after all that drama, exploring more of the witch side of things.
