I really enjoyed this story. All the characters were awesome, very well written and each character felt unique enough that it was easy to keep every one clear which is something I struggle with usually in fantasy's.
The plot was sooo good! Whenever I wasn't reading I was thinking about the book. I loved the way the world and magic system was written / executed, it was easy to follow and understand.
I ADORED the love interests and absolutely cannot wait to see where the series will go from here!
Literally so excited to re-read when book 2 comes out!
Huge thank you to Jenny grimes for letting me be apart of your ARC team for this book! I really appreciate you helping me enter my Fantasy era <3
North is the Night was a good read, but I fear it may not have been for me. I really liked our characters, once the POV's split I did find myself favoring one story over the other so it was hard to stay engaged. It is pitched as a sapphic book but I just didn't find that in this book. I don't want to go into too much details since I would land in spoiler territory. I think there may have been too much happening for everything to really flow well together.
The writing is good and the idea was great I just wanted more.
Just as fun as the other books from this trio but I do still find myself liking My Lady Jane the best so far. The humor is on point and the characters are always just so fun! It's hard not to love these fun books! I still find it incredible how these books are written by 3 people and still feel so consistent plot and writing wise!
Good writing! Solid plot with good and likable characters. I love how much dept the characters had. I usually don't read a lot of books like these but I did really enjoy it. I do think the plot could get confusing at times since it jumped from POV to POV with only one narrator. I will say the audiobook does give away the mystery a bit. I will continue on with the series!
Thank you Netgalley and HaperAudio for the audio copy!! *all opinions are my own*
