This was such a great read!!! It didn’t hit quite as hard for me as some of the others in this series due to the story being centred around a trope that I don’t particularly like (& that’s a me preference, not at all saying that Elsie didn’t do it BEAUTIFULLY, because she did). The romance in this was so fluffy & wholesome. I also love the family vibes in this so much. Such a heartwarming read with beautiful romance & such awesome character growth!!!

This book made me feel like I was falling in love with my partner all over again. My boyfriend is a goalie (was number 1 when I met him too 🥹) & I’m a former dancer, but this book hit so close to home beyond just those superficial things. The representation of anxiety struck such a chord in me. I see pieces of myself & my partner in these characters & that made this story so beautiful to read. Like all of the other Chestnut Springs stories, the romance in this book was SCRUMPTIOUS, but on top of that, it was so raw. Some quotes made me cry because they struck me so deeply. WOW I want to relive this book all over again. This was beyond fantastic .

It’s official, Cade Eaton has stolen my heart. UGH this book was SO GOOD. The romance, the banter, the YEARNING & TENSION between Willa & Cade!! The wholesome moments with Luke!!! I love the love between the three of them so so much. SO MUCH. This would’ve been a 5 star read for me because this book gave me full blown BUTTERFLIES but I really really disliked the ending. Still love their story & this universe SO much though!!

I can’t BELIEVE I waited so long to read this series!! This really did live up to the hype & I can’t wait to read the rest of the books. The chemistry the dislike to love the SPICE the energy between Summer & Rhett - UGH I just ate it up. This was such a fun fluffy romance & I can’t wait for more of this series. I already love in southern Alberta but this makes me want to throw on all my stampede clothes & hop on a horse ASAP. I loved this so much

This was absolutely phenomenal. The storyline had me hooked the whole time, the plot twists were unexpected, the characters were so well done and well rounded. & the enemies to lovers slow burn romance was ACTUALLY enemies to lovers & ACTUALLY slow burn!! This book was absolutely scrumptious in every way I could think of. Beautiful world building, rich culture & history, unique storyline. I just absolutely loved this. I connected to nearly all of the characters in some way. I’m just so impressed by this book. Wow. Similar ambience/vibe as Ninth House, so if you liked that, you’ll probably like this too!

Thanks a million to NetGalley & the publisher for the eARC!

If you’re looking for vibes similar to Six of Crows & The Mortal Instruments, this quick, YA fantasy standalone is a good option! This was one of the most unique magic systems in a fantasy book I’ve read in a while! While it was confusing at times, especially in the beginning of the book, I still loved the concept. The plot was really interesting - I quite enjoyed the storyline. I do think the characters lacked some depth though & I had a hard time feeling connected to any of the characters. I also wish there was more world building as I felt like I didn’t really understand the context of the world the story was set in. Overall, I loved this plot-forward read & it is a great YA fantasy standalone!

Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for the eARC!!

I was honestly not expecting to like this book nearly as much as I did! I soft DNFed the atlas six a few years ago & I don’t typically read short stories, so I wasn’t expecting to love this, but I truly did. These short stories were SO well done. To have such well fleshed out characters & plots in so few pages is a huge feat & Olivie Blake did it so beautifully. These stories were funny, enchanting, mysterious, risqué, & so entertaining to read. Each story had such an interesting message too. I was really really impressed by this book.

Thank you so very much to NetGalley & the publisher for the eARC, this was such a treat to read!!

DARK MATTER!!! oh my god this book took over my life for a whole day. I finished it within a 12 hour span. I think this might be my top read of the year. as a scientist myself (who is also in a smidge of a career crisis 🤠) this book hit me SO HARD. “when you’re a scientist, your late twenties are so critical. if you don’t publish something big by thirty, they put you out to pasture” this line gut punched me thank you very much. not only did this book feel like it was written for me with its themes of living to work vs working to live as a scientist, the writing, plot, the action, the twists, & characters were just chefs kiss. ordering all of blake crouch’s books rn

Such a phenomenal second book!!! I love the plot and political intrigue of this world, the incredible world building, & the amazing character work. It’s so hard to decide which characters to root for as all of them have their pros & cons. The ending has me wanting to start book 3 right now

This was such a fun read! I was immediately hooked upon starting this book. I really liked the main characters and the plot. This book gives all the found family vibes, kinda fake dating, kinda forbidden love, & a nice romance subplot. I do wish there was some more world building, especially at the beginning of the story. While I loved being thrust into a very fast-paced part of the story, there were moments where names or places would come up & lead me to be confused or where there wasn’t much detail about the world the story is taking place in. Overall, I really enjoyed this story & can’t wait to find out what happens next!

Thank you so so much to E. A. Whyte for the eARC of this story!
