Was a cheesy, easy read. I personally didn’t think it was anything special, but the plot twists kept me intrigued and reading.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 72%.
This book moved far too slowly for me. It has some good moments, but ultimately there wasn’t enough happening in the story to keep me interested.

I had low expectations for this trilogy from what I’ve heard from others, but I really enjoyed it. It definitely isn’t a book to read for those wanting some romance (there’s a solid 5 romantic scenes in the whole trilogy), but the world building was fantastic, the characters were complex and interesting, plot twists were usually quite surprising, and the plot was captivating. I’m so glad I finally read this series.

This book was so much better than the first! The pace stayed much more consistent and the story was more consistently intriguing.
