I liked the characters. I think I’ll like the second and third one more.

This was fun, I’d be interested in reading her other books.

I kind of wish the romance had been a bit more compelling, but I understand that as central to the story as the romance was, it wasn't really the point. I liked the prose and the ode to Dracula with keeping the epistolary style. I liked that he was never named although we all presume it was Dracula.

This was a very interesting take on the end of the world. Being religious myself made some parts a little difficult, to see everything all twisted with hate, but it was such a good read. I loved the characters and their relationships mixed with all the gore.

This had great twists and turns that had me gasping out loud in public. I didn’t think the execution of the romance was super great though.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 70%.
I actually DNFed this a couple weeks ago, but I was reluctant to admit it. I was really looking forward to this kind of sequel, but it just wasn't what I thought it would be. I didn't like where the plot went, which I could get over, but I also didn't enjoy where the character development went.

It's all so intense. I really love the continued world building. I really feel like Collins nailed the pacing-- for worlding building, events, and character development.
