The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L. Jensen

Honestly one of the best books I've read in so long! I don't know why I waited so long to read it!!
Lara is such a badass sarcastic female character who loves fighting and spying. As for Aren, that man has my whole heart and for so many reasons!
I loved seeing the two POV's to see how both of them were thinking and feeling. I loved Lara's fighting/war POV scenes but I loved seeing Aren's falling for her POV scenes.
This book broke my heart in so many good and bad ways so I'd say just be prepared.
Also level 1

Have I found out that cozy mysteries are not really my thing, yes, but did I grow to like this book a bit more than I thought I would, also yes. I did think there was to much detail in some parts that made me want to stop reading at some parts but as I kept reading I found some parts here and there that made me laugh out loud, some parts that I thought were cute, and I may have started liking Jack a little too much haha.

For a Prequel Novella I think this was very well done! I wasn't sure at first what I was going to think or how this would help with the next book, but it surprised me. For being so short I knew the characters well, I fell in love with more of them, hated a few, my heart flutter at a few parts, and I felt the pain that the characters were feeling too. I didn't want to put the book down and I'm excited to see what book one has to offer!

I honestly didn't think this was going to be so bad. I heard so many good things about this book but when I started it, after a while, I could not read it any longer. After it set on my desk for a few weeks I just decided to DNF it.
Lore Olympus: Volume One by Rachel Smythe

Oh my goodness!! This was so so good for my first graphic novel! I read this in one sitting! I always love Hades and Persephone' Retellings and not only did this give me this in such a cute way but it also told me a lot about the other Greek gods and some of their stories. I would probably give this story a 4.5 stars, only because I wish there was more of Hades and Persephone's story in it. I cannot wait for volume 2!!
Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur

I fell in love with these poems and stories so quickly that I didn't even know what was happening. It fell so raw and emotional that I could feel what they were feeling, and sometimes, it's hard to see this in poetry or stories.

It was okay. I read the whole thing and liked it, but knives out was so much better. Also, the ending was a twist, but I felt it was, I guess, kind of dumb. I'm sorry to say this. I really am, and I'll read the second book sometime to see if the story gets any better.
