This book gave me the type of “final battle” vibe when all of the characters are gearing up for war. In a way that seemed to be true. But for me it felt like it was the last book in the series, which I know that it at one point was the last book, as the series was only meant to be a trilogy at first. But knowing that there are more books that come after this one, the ending seemed like it was too closed up and finished for me. I wish there would have been more of a cliff-hanger. Wait, why am I asking for a cliff-hanger?! Well, there wasn’t anything grabbing back in to read the next book. I could just stop reading the series now, and let the characters live happily ever after. Of course I’m not going to do that because I need more of Jace and Clary, and these books were very entertaining! Now it’s not that I didn’t love the ending. In fact that is the exact opposite of how I felt toward it! I liked how everything worked out a little, and since I do know that there is another book after this one, I’m left wondering that ones going to be about since this one part of the story seems to have ended!

Overall, it was just as adventurous and entertaining as the first two. I liked how we were introduced into a few new characters, which mixed things up a bit! Really liked this part of the Shadowhunter’s story!
