Did not finish book. Stopped at 9%.
the writing was shockingly poor, which was becoming unbearable even as early as page 15, and the main character had already pissed me off in countless ways. think the phrase ‘i glanced down at my trendy ripped jeans’ tipped me over the edge. maybe i’m just a hater, I usually give books a chance but  i just couldn’t force myself to. reads like a wattpad story written by a 13 year old american girl with a weird thing for the irish. I dont hate myself enough to read the rest of this, no matter how mediocre it might end up being

all I’ve ever wanted in a book tbh, it was perfect. medieval. super gay. A SAPPHIC KNIGHT??? (iminlove) I’d sell my soul for more of this. plus it was super funny - made me laugh out loud so many times, I highlighted an insane amount of quotes - AND had a mystery, political intrigue plot that I was ACTUALLY interested in (that’s rare). exceeded my expectations for a YA romcom, I enjoyed this immensely and I will definitely be reading more from this author

I loved Steph in both the lis games that she was in so it was awesome to have her as a protagonist and to see more of her story and personality. I thought the links to the rest of the series were really well done and I love how this book lines up perfectly with the wavelengths dlc and then true colors.

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this, but Izzie’s toxic behaviour was so subtle at the start and so frustrating that i wasn’t sure if it was intentional, but I think this book did a good job of portraying that kind of relationship. As sad as it was to see what Steph went through, I really enjoyed seeing a bit of her backstory, would recommend this if you like the lis games
