I think that this is one of those books that's a bit boring in the begining but as the story progresses it grwos more in depth and metaphors and becomes really enjoyable - so much that you can't put it away.
That was my experience with this book. I advanced through it slowly the first 70 pages or so and then read the rest of the book in one day just because the story actually started to make sense and feel real and sensible. In my opinion Gabriel García Márquez is a great storyteller and I cannot wait to read his other works of ART. Great book!

I liked the book and I also loved the author's style of writing.

This book broke my heart. It was beautiful and deep and it made me question quite a lot of things about myself, about human intelligence, about how we view others... about us. The meaning (or should I say meanings) of this book is something I might have to revise sometime in the future - but for now, I am pleased, even though I don't think I will be reading any more fiction soon =)

The concept was interestenting but it seemed as if the book reeked of contemporary writing and was a little too eager to tell the story.
*Ah and the erotic bits were just too much

I do not think that I have ever read a book better than Anna Karenina. The way the characters are built really makes them feel real and authentic in a manner I do not think I have ever seen before in any book. Wow <3

The sole thing that made the book a little difficult to digest were the agriculture passages, but, nonetheless, it was still enjoyable. - maybe it was the translation
