Who knew Vampire Roller Derby would be this fun to read about. I picked this book up from my library on a whim & I'm glad I did.

I'm glad there is another book in this universe. It's a fun quick read if you've read book 1.

An interesting mystery in a small town. I love the Halloweentown vibes. I'm excited to read more books set in this universe.

Since I saw the movies first, I keep forgetting that Edward is a redhead. I liked learning a bit more about her and it makes her ending sadder now.

My least favorite in the series so far.

The only reason this isn't a 1 star is because I like a few of the scenes. Most of the characters in this book don't act like they do in season 1 of the show. I highly recommend checking out fanfics on AO3 instead, there are a LOT better than whatever this book was trying to be. The book doesn't give enough backstory to any character except maybe Derek but that's only for the 16 year old version you see in flashbacks. If you've never seen this show, this book would deter you away from it. It takes place in the middle of the season but also doesn't at the same time. Certain characters barely get mentioned and you're just expected to know everything about them. There is added 'werewolf' lore about certain traditions that never is used in the show. It didn't make the book more appealing in any way. All this rant is to say don't read this book. There is no point to its existance at all.

The last third of the book felt too rushed. Also I don't like insta love.
