This was such a fun read! The city of Glasgow felt alive in this book and really made this story emersive. Kirsty and the gang make an excellent team and I'm excited to continue this series.

I didn't enjoy this as much as book 1, it still feels like a set up book for a longer series. I enjoyed learning about the dragons I'm China and I'm excited to see where Laurence and Temeraire end up next!

The concept of this book is very interesting but the execution was lacking. An interesting start and an Intense end with a really boring middle. The repetition of words and phrases made for an awful audiobook experience. The characters were very lacklustre too.

For a modern audience this is such a hard read as the racism is so blatent.

It was a Meh read 😅
