Nice little 'refresher' book for when I finished a long series. The plot and the characters were enjoyable and I liked that there were two men to choose from at the beginning.

The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is that I came off of reading Wren's POV in the first book to Oaks POV in this book, which I understand why HB wrote it like that, but I still found it jarring as Wren was such an amazing and expressive character. That being said I still really enjoyed this book. Loved seeing the inner workings of the High Court and how Oak was doing all the manipulation behind the scenes. ALSO... the Jude and Cardan snippets were to die for and I hope her next book goes with them to the Undersea!!

Because its been hard for me to keep up with the different volumes on here, I'm reading it online, I'll put the synopsis.

Bum and Sangwoo both had a rough night, but things seem to be going well on the drive back home. So well, in fact, that Sangwoo says he has a gift for Bum. Bum is eager to see what the present is, but it’s not long before its arrival turns their moment of peace turns into a bloodbath.

I did not know how this ended! I didn't spoil it for myself and because of that I cried my eyes out for Bum. He accidentally kept his promise to Sangwoo and I am upset about this.

Because its been hard for me to keep up with the different volumes on here, I'm reading it online, I'll put the synopsis.

After their trip to the police station and an intimate night together, Sangwoo decides he wants to know more about Bum. Their ensuing conversation leads to a trip to the amusement park and a night of drinking and sex. This new phase of their warped relationship teeters between thrilling and unnerving, leaving Bum overjoyed one moment and panicked the next. Sangwoo is both the man of his dreams-and his nightmares…

And here I thought that this was going to end nicely for both of them, it shouldn't of course, but I was hoping. Yep I can see this going off the rails in the last volume.

Because its been hard for me to keep up with the different volumes on here, I'm reading it online, I'll put the synopsis.

Min Jieun's body has been found, and it's all over the news. Officer Yang Seungbae immediately begins to hunt down every lead he can, disregarding the risks of that hunt at every turn. When Oh Sangwoo takes Yoon Bum to his part-time job, the officer makes a bold move. What will happen when he follows Yoon Bum into the bathroom to question him?

Well this was anxiety and chaos from start to finish, I had no idea what they were going to do to get out of that, but yay, they did.

Because its been hard for me to keep up with the different volumes on here, I'm reading it online, I'll put the synopsis.

Things didn't end well for Min Jieun, and now Oh Sangwoo and Yoon Bum have a body on their hands. Can they dispose of it without getting caught? And what will Officer Yang Seungbae do when he finds out that Oh Sangwoo was the last person the missing girl was with?

But this was so interesting with each of their characters evolving, the whiplash of personalities from Sangwoo is intense though.

Because its been hard for me to keep up with the different volumes on here, I'm reading it online, I'll put the synopsis.

While investigating a vehicle collision, Officer Yang Seungbae discovers dashcam footage that plays into his suspicions about Oh Sangwoo. What will happen when he follows the evidence to Sangwoo's home and catches sight of Yoon Bum? And what will the officer do when Sangwoo catches sight of him?

I don't know why, when I first saw him pull the stuff out of the washing machine, I thought all those bodies would actually fit in there but I'm glad it was just his imagination, that would have been beyond belief. Finished the second volume, props to me, but I need it to get even more unhinged.

If they are going to make a drama out of this then it's time I actually finish it. I started this so long ago I completely forgot about it but reading it again I remember how obsessed with this I was. Everyone in it is unhinged and I am on the edge of my seat going through it. Hope this doesn't say too much about me... just kidding, it's just so entertaining.

I really liked learning about their background but it just didn't grip me in the way the first two books did and I'm sad about that because I was told that this one was the best of them. Anyway I might consider finishing the series but maybe in a while.

I liked this one but I didn't love it. I didn't click with it like I did with the first two but I have high hopes for the next one. That being said, the story was interesting and the pacing was great.
