I loved this fresh an new take on the concept of humans being gifted with superpowers and how that might end up being the worst thing possible for the world. David is a believable character and how he navigates his world despite the challenges still make him relatable to the reader. Loved the twists towards the end of the book, a little predictable in some cases but definitely not in others!

I haven’t be captivated by a book in such a long time I forgot how wonderful it was to be on the edge waiting for the next twist or turn! The way in which characters are introduced and develop over the three parts of the book is interesting and detailed, but not so much that you get lost or lose focus on the overall story, which is beautifully crafted. As this was the tenth anniversary audio recording I also have to say I can see why there is a clamor for this story today. A must read for any fan of fantasy and narrative storytelling!
