Book review - Slow Bleed: A Medical Thriller
A medical thriller that would keep one riveted with an urgency of pace, packed with deception, lies, and unexpected twists. Flaws and all, this book would still be an entertaining read.
Ultimately, Slow Bleed is a fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled read that blends mystery, betrayal, and medical intrigue. While it doesn’t break new ground and suffers from some predictability, the twists and emotional stakes make it worth a read for fans of the genre. If you’re looking for a thriller with a mix of high-stakes drama and medical suspense, this one might be worth picking

Book Review: Dead Orphans by Bert Edens ( @authorbertedens )
Bert Edens' Dead Orphans is a chilling, atmospheric collection of horror shorts, drabbles, and poetry, offering an interesting blend between unsettling realism and dark, poetically rendered storytelling. It has its moments of pure horror that are unforgettable, yet it is not without its flaws.
Criticism aside, Dead Orphans is an undeniably compelling horror collection. Edens' prose is sharp, his ideas compelling, and his ability to unsettle undeniable. Readers who enjoy grim, unflinching horror will find much to appreciate here—but those seeking a more balanced emotional ride may be entirely overwhelmed.
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)

Book Review: It Lurks by @danieldeanauthor
❄️ A snowstorm. A cabin. A nightmare that bends reality. It Lurks by Daniel Dean is the kind of horror story that creeps under your skin like an icy wind—quiet at first, then relentless. What starts as a simple drive home after a tense Christmas gathering turns into a surreal and claustrophobic descent into terror, where time, space, and logic begin to unravel.
With its eerie snowbound setting, psychological twists, and an unsettling take on holiday horror, It Lurks is the perfect fireside read—if you don’t mind a few sleepless nights. Oh, and after this? You’ll never look at snowmen the same way again.

Final Verdict: A bone-chilling, mind-bending horror novella that turns a winter wonderland into a nightmare. 4/5 ⭐
