I don’t think I’ll continue the series, but I would say the book is fast paced and enjoyable, but you shouldn’t expect a lot from it. There’s stuff that came out of nowhere. And I would actually like to praise the author because she tricked me lol. After all I didn’t get attached to any of the characters and it was just a book to distract myself, a fluffy read (2.5)

I was going to give this book a 3.5 or 4, but I loved the characters too much to do that

I was enjoying it and i was going to give it 3 stars, but the ending was a no no

•1.5• I realized I rated this book 2.5 stars but I didn’t like it at all, and I rated another book which I enjoyed more but hated the ending 2 stars so it wouldn’t be fair because I enjoyed the latter much more than Shadow and Bone. The only thing I rescue from the book is that it started in the middle of the action, in “medias res”, but later it became more tedious to get through, the characters fell flat, and it felt like nothing was really happening.

This book made me cry multiple times, and I almost never cry with books or movies

I still need to decide what rating to give this book, it was a really fun read, especially because of Simon and Isabelle, but it was way too predictable and boring at parts, it’s between 2 and 3 stars
