I loved this book! The romance was so well-paced, the obstacles to the happy ending made sense, and the characters were easy to love. The pacing was perfect and the plots all meshed together well. I loved exploring how a nonbinary person would understand and present themselves in a world where that language doesn't exist yet and how their loved ones try understanding that.

This book was a really nice entrance to historical romance for me! My only real criticism is the sexual tension could’ve gone on for a bit longer.
