Honestly, this should be a 3 and a half. I listened to this on Audible which I think made the experience of this book as good as it was. If I had been just reading it I don't know if I would have finished. The details when read aloud were very soothing but could dull some less imaginative readers.

The wear my system works is this. 5 means its perfect I can read over and over and over again
4 means it was good, i enjoyed it and I would maybe read it again after some time has passed.
3 means it was good, i enjoyed the story but I would not reread
2 means it had issues but I could finish.
1 means I either struggled to finish or I simply flat out hated this book or DNF'd it.

I would list this as a 3.5 due to story line quality, but I give it that 4 because this is one I think I will go back and listen to again in a year or so, but it had clear issues with the story. I loved the characters, The time jumps were lovely and I kept trying to figure out the mystery and was pleased with the ending. I just feel that some things could have been amped up a bit more regarding Kate and her paranormal experiences. It was just so so. But all in all, I enjoyed the read and will do so again.
