The Stars are Dying by Chloe C. Peñaranda

Did not finish book. Stopped at 15%.
If you want to read this, don't let me stop you, but for me this felt like the author read ACOTAR and throne of glass and from blood and ash all the other super popular romantasy series and mashed them up together to create this. there are some elements I like, but to me it feels lack luster and underdeveloped. you might think 78 pages may be too soon to judge if it's underdeveloped, but that's my opinion.
the writing isn't terrible, but it's not great either. I wish the author revised and re-edited this for the trad published version, but that doesn't seem to be the case. too bad.

While I felt there were some pacing issues, the ending was very good and I enjoyed all the layers of the main characters. Definitely worth the read if you can brave the lagging in the middle.
