This might be my favorite book of the entire year. So good and absolutely perfect. I literally forgot I was listening to it at work and gasped at a part so loudly my coworker asked me what was wrong 😂

Did not see that twist coming. But I will say I struggled with this until the 25% mark. I really didn’t like the characters up until the added POV at the 25% mark, but then I thoroughly enjoyed!

Too rushed and because it’s a retelling, it was missing the things I loved about her other book, the twists and turns built out over time.

The last 10% was the only slightly scary part and even that wasn’t that terrifying compared to some of the other books he’s written. The rest was interesting fiction but not what I was totally hoping for from this.

Super enjoyed a lot of this. Many words I needed to hear. A few of the poems felt a bit repetitive or like repeats of past ones though.

This was amazing and great and perfection. Now can someone tell me where I can find three military men like this? Asking for a friend 😂

This collection of short stories all follow the same template for set up- old lady complains about something awful in her life, she makes a connection with some body who is less than perfect, she gets annoyed, she kills them, and then gets away with it. The only one I really enjoyed was the one not written in her POV. Honestly, I don’t know if I want to read the other in the collection just to prove this hypothesis or to mark a series as finished. Either way it’s not because it’s good 😂

I think I would have enjoyed physically reading it better. This audiobook didn’t do anything special for me.
