The perfect sad girl lit fic
Top notch dark humor with found friendship and new love in the most unexpected place. I loved every single moment!
Phoebe is so blunt because she has decided she has nothing to lose -literally, she is there to kill herself- and there is something so beautiful about finding yourself when you think you’re truly at the end.
Lila doesn’t even allow herself to realize how lost she is until the very end and that was more heartbreaking to watch unfold than Phoebe being there to kill herself 😭 but I loved that they found their way together.
If you like character driven books with dark humor definitely grab!

A very fun old school clue style whodunit with a lil romance. I’m a sucker for this setting when done right! This is paced perfectly and laugh out loud funny. I had my suspensions but I was vibing and riding til the very end.
I loved the banter between Maggie and Ethan. They were both quick witted and the perfect match. The writing is very wholesome making this a perfect palate cleanser.
It also felt like a love letter to literature 🥹 The FMCs only “friend” growing up was within the pages of a book and damn that one hit home. Maggie’s love for Eleanor Ashley is relatable for any bookworm.

Broadbent doesn't miss. This was such a fun world to dive into. Tisaanah is a badass FMC, I loved being in her head when she was playing "dumb woman" to get what she wanted. This was the perfect action packed slooooow burn.
