This book was a fantastic crime fiction read. The premise is very unique—a serial killer is reading about himself through a book written by a survivor of his crimes. And I loved how Eve’s story is told through chapters of her memoir. I’ve never read anything with a similar format. I enjoyed the transition between Jim and Eve, and seeing Jim’s reactions as he reads Eve’s book. It was like putting together the pieces of a puzzle.

This was a quick, great read; I had trouble putting it down! I highly recommend The Nothing Man to anyone looking for a new crime fiction/thriller/suspense read.

This book follows Kieran, as he returns to his hometown to help his parents and has to deal with his past.

I really liked the setting (Tasmania) and how it was described throughout the book. While it did have some thrills and mystery, I was expecting more...especially for the ending. The plot was more of a “slow burn”, instead of the fast-paced books I’m used to reading. I also felt that some parts of the book were overly descriptive, and it was hard to keep interest.

Overall, The Survivors was a good book. If you are new to thrillers, prefer descriptive, slow-burn plots, or don’t enjoy the more graphic crime fiction books, I think you’ll really enjoy this one!
