This was one of those books where I had to keep myself from peeking father ahead the page to see what happens -riveting and interesting. A story of unfathomably powerful gods that yet resonates with the mortal woman's existence. So glad I read it after getting the recommendation for years -and will now recommend to anyone in turn. Such a masterfully written novel.

While not one to typically go for non-fiction, especially anything that reeks of my most dreaded genre: self-help, I'm glad I picked this up. It was much more historical and informative than I thought it would be, and left me feeling a lot more educated and convicted to emulate what Kendi shares about anti-racism so cohesively & aptly. I also enjoyed the slight auto-biography vibe of the book. As a newbie myself in this genre/area of literature, I feel like this is a solid intro to the sociology and politics of race- very well done.

It's incredible how Doerr is able to write entire chapters from a blind character's POV- and yet the reader can easily forget that she's blind because his writing is so phenomenal. Heart-wrenching, made me cry- would recommend to anyone.

I've found myself to be a Little Prince purist after this book.
Short, yet full of intense internal battles and dramatic happenings- Night Flight does best as a snapshot of what aviation looked like in the 20s. A time capsule of the era of mail planes in a freshly post WWl pilot world. Not for me-but I'm glad to have read another one of Saint-Exupery's works after being the biggest fan of Le Petit Prince for over a decade.

Lovely. I've never considered the possibility of a post-apocalyptic world that was utopian and wonderful instead of the typical dystopian stories that come in that genre. I would recommend this to anyone.

I love women. Drew knows how to communicate the frustrations and niches of misogyny and terrible men so well, and I feel that this book is going to help a lot of women realize their worth. An easy read, feel good, borderline self-help and part autobiography- enjoyed my time with Loud.

Extremely well written, Elliot has a talent when it comes to describing things that feel wordless. A brave telling of a tumultuous life
