"Do happy endings truly exist in real life? Maybe they did. Maybe this was hers."

Tia Williams creates characters that are completely magnetic and so totally real that I struggle to pull myself away from her words. The Perfect Find is no different. I wanted so badly for Jenna to succeed at rebuilding her life and her career. I was completely invested in her love story with Eric. I found myself so enthralled by these characters that I couldn't focus on anything else. Tia Williams' writing is stunning. Between this book and Seven Days in June, I can say that Tia Williams has become an auto-buy author for me.

Astrid Parker is the kind of main character you love to read. After reading Delilah and Claire's book, you're not sure how much you want to read about Astrid. She appears cold and unfeeling, when in actuality she is a warm and big-hearted person who just wants to feel loved. She has flaws, she works through her flaws, and becomes a person who believes she is deserving of the love of her friends and of Jordan Everwood, the other main character of this book. Jordan is the damaged, heartbroken love interest that learns to embrace her damage and heals and loves Astrid for exactly who she is deep down inside. I loved this book so much. Astrid and Jordan's story is exactly the kind of story I love to read. There is a minor twist that took me completely off-guard about 40% through the book and I loved where that twist took the story. These characters discover who they truly are throughout the course of this book and I loved every second of it. This book turned Ashley Herring Blake into one of my auto-buy authors.
Lucy Checks In: A Novel by Dee Ernst

This book. This beautiful, beautiful book. How can I describe the feelings it brought out in me? Found family is my absolute, all-time favorite trope. Lucy Checks In has this is spades. I love fun cast of characters to flesh out a book. Lucy, Bing, Marie Claude, Claudine, Karl, Vera, and Georges all have their own roles to play. This mixed group of people come together in Hotel Paradis and make it come alive. Dee Ernst describes Rennes in a way that makes you feel as though you're standing right next to Lucy, experiencing everything right alongside her. If you like a story with a full cast of wonderful, lovable characters, a gorgeous setting, and an emotional connection, this book is for you.
