Fun, but not much else (which is fine—that’s what I came for). Unfortunately, a large portion of the middle was pretty boring, and the final battle was very anticlimactic. I’ll still probably continue with this series, really only because I’m curious to see what happens next.

A very sweet, fun read! Ultimately it was kind of cheesy, but so otherwise enjoyable that I can look past it. Also, it was so nice to read a book that depicted queer relationships without having coming out, etc. being the main plot line.

An otherwise cookie-cutter novel interspersed with bits of brilliance. Certain parts were downright creepy, but, to my chagrin, much of the book is dedicated to a romance I simply did not care about. Also, the treatment of the female protagonist was at best, disappointing, and at worst, disgusting. And if you were wondering: yes, AIDAN did in fact bump this book up a full star.

Even though I flew through this book, I’m still kind of underwhelmed. I really enjoyed the first book, but this one was kind of all over the place. The ending felt like the author needed a way to wrap up this book and set up the next. And at this point, I’m over the back and forth romance and really am just interested in the side characters (who, sadly, played a minuscule role in this book).

it makes me so happy that i can go this low with my rating because this book truly deserves it. i have never found a book so thoroughly unenjoyable. i hope to never touch this book again.
