definitely a product of its time, but it was still good to get to know the history of their relationship, and other crucial moments like the magneto reveal (which lives on in my heart bc what retcon).

really cute story! definitely predictable but i liked the dynamics between the characters, and this spin on the outing/homophobia trope.

this was so much fun!!! i fucking devoured every page of this, it was such a delight to read. i love the balance of the campy-ness of the situation and the seriousness of the characters’ mental health and identities. such a fun read!!

this was a really interesting read! i think it would have been way cooler without the ties to the great gatsby, which i didnt even know there was a connection to until i started reading it which is odd, frankly. i think the time period, jordan’s identity, and the magical realism would have been effective enough.

this is such an interesting concept for a book but my god this is executed so poorly. it’s utterly boring and so stupidly unrealistic. also the way this is marketed is ridiculous because this really is not about these girls (with their drag queen ass names lmao) being the centre of a #metoo movement like come the fuck on.

what a lovely book! the complexities of the characters is really unique for ya contemporary that is heavily marketed as romance, and i found that really refreshing. the ending was also so real, i loved that a lot too!
