Title is perfect. "Relatable" is very accurate, but also tells you what to expect. Almost none of them wowed me, but they were all nice. Poems are just okay enough. Pleasant.

It was cute I guess. I hate the formatting because it's not poetry. If it was I might've liked it a little more, but whenever I see books written like this I think wow a bunch of trees died for nothing.

In probably all my reviews for this series I've expressed how repetitive it is. Feels like nothing's happening story wise. And I’d be willing to ignore it all and give this book the same rating I gave the others EXCEPT for ONE thing that boiled over my tea kettle (idk what phrase I'm thinking of). Why did the Jewish German kid know English?

i kept hearing clicking for some reason? and unrelated its not completely the guy's fault but he would forget what voice he was using for what character and if i hadn't been reading along if i was just listening it would've been confusing to keep up with

the grandfather of sassy men. what a messy book. love it. didn’t love a lot of elements. justice for ali! the sheer amount of adult minor relationships were disgusting, book could've been much much much shorter but it also wasnt intended to be read in 8 days. but i do love seeing the origins of infamous tropes. that was cool.

The Old Man and The Sea (in the sense that it was boring (but not as boring as that book) and talked about nature) meets The Parent Trap (except they're not plotting to get the parents together) meets The Lord of the Flies (i’ve never read it but I know it's at least about boys stranded in the wilderness). At first I thought the kid died in the swamp and was hallucinating since the first half of the book talked so much about nature. I thought it was just a book about teaching nature to kids. Then half way through the book a plot happens? Okay. Weird but alright let’s go. I laughed 4 times but it was all in the last 40% of the book so I don't count it as funny. At least I wasn't annoyed?

I’m not Christian anymore, in fact a lot of times I think I want to be Jewish, but for a long time I believed soulmates existed. At 11 I realized (had to be told) I was gay and went through the torment of thinking why would god damn me to hell when I haven't even lived a life yet? Why would god curse me? I figured God wouldn’t've cursed me, maybe it was humans who were wrong. God made me gay and made me a soulmate and theres someone out there who's like me in more ways than other people and their soulmates are alike. So until I was, mm, 21 I was thinking surely I’ll meet that person someday and I’ll just get it, everything will click, life is complete because this is the person God sent for me.

Well, it was a Jewish woman on tiktok, the girl who wanted to nuke the moon, who said “Soulmates are stupid. i love you on purpose.” Fuck! Blew up my belief!

And I think this book reinforces both ideas for me. I’m so sad, I’m like God, send me mine please, send me the person who is my soulmate and I will love them on purpose, even if we are complete opposites and all we do is argue and get into mischief. And then I’m like oh I’m so happy. They chose each other every time, against the odds, literally, cosmically and internally. It’s so beautiful. I'm so sad and so happy.

It's been a long time since I read a book, finished the last page and had to fight myself from rereading it. I may reread it later in the year. Or every January! It’s so beautiful!

What I would give to have a sister. What a perfect story. And so romantic too. Don't ask me to explain if you read the book you get it. So many beautiful layers... Amanda Lee Koe you will always be famous. If Amanda Lee Koe has no fans my soul has left this earthen realm. I'm blown away.

Wow! I thought this book was gonna be a quirky slasher. I wasn't expecting that! So good!
