The Prisoner of Heaven by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
4.0
this felt sooo long and its the shortest book in the series. it wasnt bad at all, I did read the last 150 or so pages in one go but it took me soo long cause not much was happening. i understand why though because this is setting up for the next book and also explaining the previous book so i really liked that. cant wait to continue and finish this series
The Labyrinth of the Spirits by Carlos Ruiz Zafón

this is definitely the longest book i’ve ever read and one of the best. i’m not even gonna lie, the amount of times i wanted to throw this book across the room cause i felt like i would never finish this was very high for a book i loved very much (i’ve been in a slump and was trying to force myself to read lol)
the character dynamics throughout the whole series was just so well done, and it’s so nice to read about characters who love stories and novels just as much as you do
it felt like i was saying goodbye to a family member when i turned to the last page, or several family members as i felt i knew each character personally
the constant repetition of “welcome to the cemetery of forgotten books” got me every time
also??! julian carax and julian sempere being the authors was such a nice touch, i just can’t believe i read a 3000 page story

My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness by Nagata Kabi

Im shocked at how much I enjoyed this! I randomly decided to pick it up and read it in one sitting because it was too good to put down. this novel was actually super sad and it was a little relatable at times but its just nice to read stuff like this sometimes and know you're not alone. also didn't know i was reading a memoir till halfway through because i figured and went to check the genres. so nicely done and its such a fun way of sharing an experience of your life for others to read and relate to.
i definitely think if anyone is thinking about reading this, to check the tw first :)

everyone was so sad in the beginning, it was making me sad
also i’ve been thinking about this the whole time, but hachi reminds me so much of lily calloway & i know some people find their characters to be annoying and childish but they are so special to me
