please no one make fun of me after this review. i am emo.
this series will alwayssss hold a special place in my heart, no matter how old i am or how much i have changed. i started this series a year and a half ago (already wtf) and i literally took my sweet time getting to the epilogue novel and reading through it (on purpose lol). i have trouble saying goodbye to things that have meaning to me, this being one of them.
i don't even know why its so special to me, because it does have a lot of faults but theres just something about it. first of all, the characters is what makes this series and i stand by that. i don't think any other KBR books that are not involved with the core eight will ever be as good as their books. i wrote little goodbye letters (not really it was like 2-3 sentences each) like a fucking loser after each one of their last chapters. it was therapeutic. lol. Also the full circle moment <33333
i have grown so much since i first started this series and as cheesy as it sounds, i feel like these characters have helped me develop into who i am today and have somehow watched me grow (i know they're not real but it just feels that way). i was literally a different person, inside and out when i picked up the first book.
i could talk about this series for probably forever, but i won't, obviously. I also do know that i still have the second gen series and gillow's books to read which i am very excited for, but they obviously wont be the same. Especially since my taste in books AND writing has now changed a lot (i've evolved

this was so fucking stupid lmao. i’m currently in the worst slump i’ve ever been in and asma recommended me to read a smutty book with no plot to not have to concentrate to hard on, and it worked lol. it was entertaining but it was sooo bad

wow wow wow wow. yet again another book by heather that has blown me away. sadly i was in a mega slump while reading this so i couldn’t get into it as much as i would’ve liked to. but nonetheless, it was absolutely beautiful and compelling.
finished the book with tears in my eyes because it just felt so magical. also it was SAD AF. i can’t even explain the feelings i had for this book but it was truly magnificent.
i think what makes it even more special is the fact that it’s set in montreal. it feels like i know these people and i wish the best for them.
rose and pierrot were obviously not perfect but who is? very very lovely novel, she knows how to WRITE
