SO SO SO GOOOD! SO FREAKING GOOD!!!!
It was engaging. It was fucking funny. Duncan and Jake, my loves!! ❤️❤️
There was just something about the way this book was written that I couldn't put it down. The dialogue just flowed naturally. All the characters had chemistry, like I could FEEL the chemistry through the words.
Everything just flowed. The scenes, the dialogue, the pacing. It all just felt so real and authentic. Ugh! I absolutely loved this and the ending is just.... CHEF'S FUCKING KISS 😘😘😘

It was good. 😊
I did like the pacing but I definitely feel like there were some characters introduced in here that just had tooo much backstory. I'm guessing this is like an ensemble series where you get to read and understand everybody's stories because they're important for the next installment.
You would never know there was a murder mystery plot line in this book too.
I think Remy and Jeremiah were good for each other. I think they brought out the good in each other as well.
Epilogue with no marriage or kids involved. Keep it next time Becky! You just pissed me off!

It was great! Had so much fun and I think it was the perfect mix of plot, character, and romance!
Knocked off 1/2 a star cause oh how I wished we could've seen them courting before marriage!

It was gonna get a 3 but the forced conflict pissed me off to no end. If you can't write good conflict, don't bother. It's simple as that really.
This book spent a good chunk of it focusing so much on the one night stand that happened in the first 30 pages. The author just honed on it so much that it was irritating. I almost dnf'ed the book because of how much focus they put on it.
This book was dialogue heavy, especially when Luke and Margot were talking. They just droned on and on and on. I had to skip some of it to be honest.

Definitely weaker than the first.
The defeat of the Ocean Miner was a little silly and quick ngl...
Demetrius and Estelle... idk about that. I get the whole thing about not seeing what's in front of your face and blah blah but like it kind of didn't work here. It wasn't executed very well.

I think this book was strong… but not the entire time. There were some unexplained moments like for one, 400 pages and we were never told what Emmett’s condition was. That’s a bit weird to be honest considering how essential it was for Farrin’s arc…
I did like how Bianca never mastered her skill by the end because it just wouldn’t be realistic. Her being thrown on the ground, living with the elves and eventually going back to Sel all happened in the span of like what… 2 months max? It goes to show that she’s not a perfect protagonist who’s still got a lot to learn.
The entire elves arc, especially the ending where Lurgl becomes leader of the elves, was kind of half-assed… but it did really show the readers just how manipulative elves are.
