A sapphic wholesome romance written like a teen rom com. Unfortunately it was a little juvenile for my taste and very simplistic. But I think this is the perfect romance book for teens. It lacked the emotional turmoil and depth I find intriguing in characters and novels however I respect it for what it is and there definitely is unequal representation of LGBTIA+ in the YA romance genre, just a little too basic of a story for me

I appreciate the commentary this book provides on ableist and sexist culture. I think it’s important to have these conversations however it was quite emotional to read from someone’s POV being mistreated over and over again

Wow. Such a creative and unique story. Very heartwarming and just a constant stream of love, life and relationships. The characters’ perspective and experiences being expressed through games is so original and genuine.

AMAZING the only reason it’s not 5 stars is because it’s a bit slow at times. It’s a long read for sure but incredible world and and story and the pay off *chef’s kiss*

An incredible story of justice, colonialism and heartbreak. I love everything this book stands for
but that last 10% tore me to pieces.
I agree with most people that the pacing was slow for the majority of the book but the setting, imagery and characters was worth every bit of it. It was very wordy in both a charming and lyrical way but also at times a little bit overwhelming and overstated way.
