it's just a really odd book. i don't think i am a big fan of dystopian worlds but whatevers. They're also just gay for eachother like: "In spite of their sadness-because of it, even; for their sadness was the symptom of their love for one another-the three young men were happy."

“It has the power and diversity to capture the imaginations of Hindus and non-Hindus alike, and the capacity to challenge all preconceived ideas about what a religion is.” I kinda really loved this for a non-fiction. It’s nice to see a book that leaves the subject up to interpretation instead of flat out telling you their opinion for the most part.

“It would degrade me to marry Heathcliff now; so he shall never know how I love him; and that, not because he’s handsome, Nelly, but because he’s more myself than I am.” Don’t you love a power structure built into a romance placed in the late 1700s? I sure do not.

(for school) it was a good book but its not my personal favorite. the writing was well done and I thought it was interesting how much dialogue there was.

to be able to remember someone within 67 pages and capture life perfectly is a miraculous thing.

“i am writing about my father in the past tense, and i cannot believe i am writing about my father in the past tense”

a great concept of culture in abba, deeper understanding of third world countries and how they function, even if it wasn’t the intention of the book.
