Underdeveloped. Also, the epilogue basically ruined my whole opinion of the MMCs. I don’t feel like they’re compatible at all.

I was going to read the complete series edition and rate it all together, but this book was so bad. I had to DNF and rate it separately. The book was good until like 75% of the way through it, and then (vague spoiler)

MMC did something I could not forgive him for, but the FMC did forgive him, and I just couldn’t be invested in their relationship.

The FMC overheard the MMC’s younger brother planning something suspicious over the phone and told the MMC. The MMC dismissed her. The FMC said, please don’t leave our son alone with him. The MMC thought no one tells me how to take care of my son… THAT HE MET 2 WEEKS AGO???? The FMC has raised this kid the kid’s whole life (he’s 8/9) and then this stupid MMC basically says he doesn’t respect her as a mother or trust her as a person, and leaves the kid with the younger brother, and BAD THINGS HAPPEN!! My gosh. And she forgives him the SECOND he says sorry. I’m sorry, there is no coming back from that for me. No coming back. I dint read romance for realism, but that was not a rational reaction from the FMC to something DESPICABLE from the MMC.

Anyway, 2 stars given for the book up to that point. I think I just need to not read this author because the first book I read from her, I had to DNF, and now there’s this one.
