Ice Kissed by Amanda Hocking

And once again I'm left hanging thank you Amanda Hocking really you had to end the book like that but damn it so good and yes I binge read this book because I just had to see how it all ended and well for Bryn not too well and you know what sucks Ridley has stuck his neck for her and it's unclear if he's coming back in the final book.
At least I just have to wait two more months for the conclusion at least I hope I can wait that long...

So I did a massive binge read to finish this book and you know what it ended on a positive note there where things in this book that needed to be resolved plus we got some 'sexy times' with Bryn and Ridley it was going to eventually and it did and I was happy.
Anyway Crystal Kingdom picks up right where Ice Kissed left off and now that Bryn is framed for murder and treason she is now on the run but she needs to clear her name as well know the truth will set you free and this can't be more accurate here then anywhere else also the Skojare tribe are falsely implicated as the Kanin queen pushes for war.
This book doesn't hold back on any action and it's more of a gradual build up towards the end and in a way that works to this story's favor in massive the final ending and the outcome do come to a head.
There where other things that I enjoyed such as the character development in each book in this trilogy and the fact that these books where so easy to get into was a another positive I'm just sad that this trilogy is over now it was so good.

So I had a little weep after reading this book so, so very sad and it seems I'm beginning August with read sad books not that I mind really been needing a cry for a while so I guess reading these has helped that along...Anyway we're now into the 5th year of the Hogwarts school year and yeah things have gotten dark dementors track Harry down he has issues with the Ministry of Magic but upside is we get to see Sirius Black (One of my favorite characters) and of course we have to with the woman who wears pink has pictures of kittens littered around who drinks tea while being a power-hungry asshole...By that I mean Delores Fucking Umbridge oh I hated this woman so much and wanted to punch her numerous for what she does in this book but hey we never see ugly face again so I'm pleased with that.
Took me a while to get through this beast of a book but I enjoyed it as it made me cry and sometimes legitimately I'd feel myself get angry whenever Umbridge was in certain parts of the book and not many books make me feel those so once again 5 stars.

Noticed these books have been getting a lot of negative reviews well lets bring some balance to this shall we? Yeah straight off the bat this book gets a 4.5 stars from me because if you haven't noticed I binge read this book and I enjoyed it and yes it was a new take on the dystopian genre the story goes like this:
A botched attempt to create the perfect human race means that men die at 25, and woman die at 20. Young girls are being abducted and forced into polygamous marriages in a desperate attempt to keep humanity ahead of the disease that threatens to eradicate it.
I enjoyed this book so much I did a few binge reading sessions yeah another case of me finishing a book in two days yeah I found this a breeze to read it gets straight to the point and considering the fact I've never read anything by this author I was pleasantly surprised and I think the opening to this book had a lot to do with me liking it because to me this book was like a short movie and at the we're treated with a short story called "The First Bride" and it's worth checking out as we get a glimpse from one of the side characters in the main story before the events of this book and I felt that added to this story but another reason I liked this book was because the way it deals with dark topics is really well executed and I'll be moving onto book two Fever now.
In short I feel these books are underrated and don't let the negative reviews affect you getting these books they are good and I feel these books are underrated and I'd say they fall between New Adult & YA due to the subjects mentioned.
Excuse my massive gush on this book but hey I loved it so yeah.

A fantastic sequel and it continues straight where Wither left off we get introduced to a new host of characters and Rhine and Gabriel are now heading for Manhattan but since they escaped from the mansion they're now find a world that even more disturbing then the one they left she is still determined to find her twin brother.
Again this was breeze to read and yes things get darker as the story goes on of course some people may not appear as them seem their intentions more sinister and lets put it this way this is a brilliant sequel and these books get better and better and I don't say that about many books but this is yet another case where this is true and I'm in the process of marathoning this trilogy and I don't even feel bad about it.

Don't ask how I managed to finish this book despite feeling like shit yesterday and hating everything today I somehow managed to finish it as a means of distraction from and to prevent myself from doing something I'd regret so yeah I finished this instead as oppose to the 'other' option I had which I won't go into.
Anyway those things aside this trilogy ends on a bittersweet note but hey considering the subject matter of these books I think this trilogy does a rather good job on those subjects and yes even in the last book we see the remaining bits of character development and finally understand the trilogy name as a whole.
Now Sever continues where Fever left and Rhine having escaped from Vaughn's mansion, Rhine finds respite in the delapidated home of her husband's uncle, an eccentric inventor who hates Vaughn as much as Rhine does.
I enjoyed marathoning this trilogy and I've never read anything like them ever and that's saying a lot but I feel these books are due a re-read at somepoint because I feel like I could learn something new if I enter this trilogy's world again.

So I kind of binge read this book as yet another means of distraction and pretty much neglected the other books I was planning to read and kind of just got hooked on this book...
Yeah I had a tough time attempting to put this book down but nope it wasn't happening I was well and truly addicted once I finally got into the first few chapters after that I'd lost interest in everything else so yeah a fantastic distraction book which I'm glad to have read as it was well written and each chapter left on a cliffhanger and for that reason how could I not continue to learn more about the world and the characters because all the way through this book we only know that there's a Assassin and a Prince and Lia who flees on her wedding day and things get interesting straight off the bat also it was great to have map on both sides of the book great reference if you want to know what's what.
Yeah I now see why the booktube community has been raving about this book because it is amazing but hey I now understand why.
Now excuse me while I start on The Heart of Betrayal.

No joke but I flew through this book and yes I lost a lot sleep for doing so but hey I don't even feel bad about it but hey it was a shameless binge read and yeah I'm a impatient fuck but when can we get book three? No seriously the way this book I need the last book now. Only problem is there's now the long wait until 2016 and we can get some closure and hopefully a resolution to this trilogy well I hope we do because I honestly didn't the ending coming and it was just...How can I put it simply well I was distraught is probably the best to put well for me anyway.
But yeah things got put up a notch in this book and yes I had a case of refusing to put it down and neglecting my other books once again because once again I was sucked back into this books world and characters and I tell you I refused to speak to anyone until I finished it yeah I was a anti-social hermit and I've not had much sleep either so yeah I had another of losing sleep over a book but not that I minded because I loved it can 2016 please hurry up I want the final book now.

Now this one wasn't as much as a disappointment as Magonia was which is a good start and I pretty much caught up on a few days worth of reading I missed and yes I binge read the rest of this book today for the sake of getting a review done and end the reading month on a odd number.
Anyway.
Onto the review.
Here's a brief summery of the story:
Marguerite Caine has grown up surrounded by wild scientific theorists, always encouraged to imagine the improbable. But her father is murdered as a result Marguerite's life is turned on its head and all the evidence points to one person Paul her parent's protege and before the law can touch him Paul uses Marguerite's mothers latest invention a device called the Firebird a device that allows anyone to leap into alternate dimensions and escapes.
Marguerite with some help of another physics student Theo is now able to find Paul through various dimensions she will avenge her father's death but as Marguerite leaps into each new world she encounters a new version of Paul she finds herself questioning his guilt and her heart until she discovers what happened to her father was more complicated and sinister then she had dreamed.
Overall I gave this book a 3.5 stars in the sense that I wanted to find out what happened next and the whole alternate dimension aspect helped a lot too it kept things fresh as in we where never in the same dimension for too long as such that kept the story going also this book is fairly fast paced which helps its easy to get through without info dumping you on anything. But I did enjoy seeing Marguerite's development as she went between each dimension and how she reacted to each surrounding so it was interesting but it was by no means boring.
Really curious about the sequel though at least the wait isn't too long because I want to see what happens next.

Considering the fact that I bought this book way back in 2012 and well tell you what considering the fact that it was an impulse buy this book oh goodness this was so good.
Once upon a time there was a girl who was special.
This is not her story.
Unless you count the part where I killed her.
Sounds good doesn't it the whole time I was reading this book Alison believes she murdered someone hence when the story begins she's in a Mental institution and no one believes her and trust me things get interesting very fast and it turns out she's not insane but the way this book ends I guess it's mostly told through flashbacks constantly swapping between both so subtly but heck this book is so well written I couldn't put it once I'd finally got into the swing of things because you will want to know how it ends.
Now excuse me while I dive straight into Quicksilver.
