definitely unsettling, with the haze of 70s over everything it just made me so glad I was born when I was!!
Also I wish someone could love me as much as she loved tutankhamun

Very glad I read this although the structure was sometimes a bit confusing - but listening to it as an audiobook I didn't mind too much

powerhouse of a book!! Took me a while to get into but I'm glad I stuck with it, was very invested at the end. I'm shook at how well he wrote a teenage girl perspective that was very good :)

some lines stuck out to me but this really wasn't my cup of tea, I didn't care about the character or her relationships/essay in oxford, which is literally the entire premise - but I went in blind otherwise I wouldn't have picked it up. If you're a no plot just vibes kinda reader you’ll maybe like it but that is just not me!! A whole section on shitting and cumming though that was impressive

I really liked the style of this though it took me a while to get used to it then I read it in one sitting! very slick and “an enormously tiny bit of a lot” of Kitty’s life and times
