This is a sweet and rather wholesome, cozy novelette of a lonely ogre and his sassy little human. It’s got all the spice, adorable MCs, found family vibes, and a hot protective cinnamon-roll MMC. I highly recommend this short and sweet story if you are looking for a quick, lighthearted read that is mostly low-angst and has a HEA.

This is a dragon-and-witch/thief romance, with plenty of spice. I absolutely enjoyed the ride this author took us on. I’ve read other books by this author, and I absolutely love their world-building. I LOVE all of the dragon lore, and I desperately wish I had my own dirty-talking brooding dragon. This story has a widowed MMC, an insecure semi-reformed thief trying to atone for her past, and lots of Mafia-like vibes. Seriously, this almost felt like a Mafia romance that included magic and sexy monsters. The author did a phenomenal job with this story. And the spice was next level. It was just a bit slow in some places, but the story really needed it in order to properly strengthen the bond between the two MCs. Also, it was really difficult to read about these two constantly emotionally hurting each other. Not gonna lie, it was really sad in some parts. Basically, the FMC just wanted to belong somewhere, but the MMC was guarding his heart after a tremendous loss. Some more tropes to be aware of:
- insta lust
- she falls first, but only because he’s in denial
- a slight third-act breakup from the POV of the FMC
- brief glimpses of side characters’ love lives
- surprise pregnancy
And so much more! Highly recommend!

*** Potential spoilers cause I hate the FMC ***
I’m giving this book a 2.75 because I am so f@cking pissed at it, I cannot give it a 3 or higher. I absolutely LOVE the awkward virgin rep, the OTT obsessive & protective hunk of a man, the fun mafia storyline and the handful of SPICY scenes. BUT I f@cking HATE how the FMC was written. Okay, here me out, I understand that there has to be a level of suspension of disbelief (the author even warns us about this in their Author’s Notes), and I get that we just have to suspend disbelief about the MMC’s obsession with the plus size virgin, but JESUS H CHRIST I cannot suspend disbelief of how f@cking STUPID the FMC is! She’s suppose to be a top Las Vegas lawyer & she’s described as being smart and intelligent, but b!tch WHERE?? Where’s the smarts?? This guy TELLS HER she belongs to him, that she’s his, that he’s STALKING her. He admits to breaking into her apartment, accessing her MEDICAL records, finding out who her colleague is with just a picture of him.. and this dumb b!tch actually believes that he’s just going to LET HER get railed by some masked stranger on the side of a deserted road, and never comment about it!? Any rational thinking person would automatically know that he CLEARLY has access to her phone, and don’t you think a possessive stalker would know if you have a dating app profile!? She is literally the dumbest, most clueless character I have ever read, and I read a story about a girl that was locked up from society her whole life! Come on! The author has Jillian question some of these OBVIOUS “coincidences,” but this dumb idiot quickly dismisses what is right in front of her, and I get that this is to move the plot along, but goddamn does it get annoying! I almost DNF’ed this book cause of how frustrating the FMC was being. It would have been better if the FMC put 2 and 2 together during their tapas dinner where the MMC confesses (point blank) that he knows everything about her & is stalking her. She could have continued the ruse to mess with him & she wouldn’t have come off as the most stupidest idiot I ever did read. This book dragged on for me, but it could just be because I hated the FMC. Honestly, I do recommend this book for any dark mafia romance readers. The author is clearly a good writer and knows how to write a scene. I would consider reading more of their work. My main beef is with the FMC, but everything else was top notch. If you made it this far, apologies for my unhinged rant. I just hate it when authors make inexperienced women seem naive & idiotic. ESPECIALLY one that “claims” to read dark romance books!! Phone stalking and car tracking are dark romance 101 for crying out loud!! Okay, sorry sorry, now I’m done 😅

This was the cutest book I’ve read thus far this year! I LOVE this couple. This is a low angst, almost slice of life type of story with a shy and awkward virgin MMC and an experienced, confident succubus FMC. It was short but SPICY. Some tropes include consent king/queen, bi MMC, pansexual FMC, emotional past heartaches, insta lust/love, stripper girlfriend and quirky paranormal best friends. I really enjoy this author’s writing, and their world building is so fun. Only issue for me is that we get a lot of “convenient” magic that helps to whisk away mundane things (like cleaning up body fluids), but I can’t think of a different way to introduce these concepts without it feeling silly. It’s a fantasy romance, so I’m not too bothered by it. All in all, this is a light, adorable, spicy monster/human romance with a HEA. Highly recommend!

This is a fantasy, reverse harem, wolf shifter romance. It’s also a spicy second-chance novel with five possessive, obsessed, touch-her-and-hurt alpha hotties. Basically, the FMC is their mate, they all find this out as teens, but the problem is that she’s a beta. Everyone tries to rip them apart, but the alphas know what they need…. Unfortunately, the FMC takes FOREVER to get her head outta her arse and accept the super obvious. Seriously, I took off points because the FMC was super annoying to me. She was so mean to the five MMCs even though it wasn’t even their fault that they separated. I added half a point because the sidekick best friend was the hilarious comedic relief. The spicy stuff didn’t start until much later, and it was very minimal considering that there were five partners, but I understood that they wanted to take things slow to get to know each other. However, what was included was graphic. This is a great option if you’re just starting out with wolf shifter related smut. The writing was solid and the author did a great job of mixing a modern world with fantasy creatures. All in all, it was a fun and entertaining read.

This was a short and unhinged dark stalker romance. A lot of it didn’t make sense, and there were several grammatical mistakes. Why did Nyx wait so long if he was so obsessed? Why kill the guys that the FMC dated? There was literally no reason for half of this book. Also, I dislike it when authors don’t set the scene properly. Are they sitting? Standing? On the porch? What happened to the coffee mug? And the dialogue did not flow at all. Nobody talks like that… All in all, this was exactly what you would think it is: a short, fun read that explores some dark kinks, but does not dive too deep.

This book was a whirlwind of lovable characters, terrific world building, and TONS of fun romantasy tropes. First, this is a revers harem, MF, MFM, MM, MMM, MFMM, human & gargoyles romance. There’s insta-love AND a slow-burn romance. Touch-her-and-die vibes, found family, forced proximity, some grumpy/sunshine and so much more! This one’s got everything you need in a monster/creature romance! The writing is well done and the subject matter is handled with so much care and love. I didn’t like the way the villain was written at all, though, he was way too crazy & it felt like his obsession came out of nowhere. I understand why this was done (to get the MCs closer together), but still too crazy too suddenly. I was also often frustrated with the FMC because she sometimes felt cold and detached with her gargoyles. Everyone kept saying how great she was, but her actions and words didn’t really match that at all. She’s still an okay character considering her family, but I would have liked more from her somehow. They all get their HEA though, so that’s nice! Oh! And it’s a dual point of view between all four of the MCs. It was nice because we get read their thoughts and feelings! Okay, I’m done! Thanks for reading this!

Romantasy orc smut at its finest! A very good, solid, adorable, adventurous read. Highly recommend for any monster smut lover. I will admit, the first half of the will-they-won’t-they, withholding of important information rocky start was EXTREMELY frustrating. I understand that it was needed, but it does not make for relaxing reading. This is the first book I have read from this author & I enjoyed it so much that my fingers are itching to order the previous elf one. Some quick tropes included in this one: orc & human romance, he falls first & HARD, possessive fated mate orc general, dirty talking/filthy minded MMC, inexperienced yet hrny FMC, touch-her-and-die moments, etc. It’s dual point of view, and I must say that the two MCs were written very well! I really resonated with the FMC because I too focused diligently on my studies that I forgot to find myself a hot orc boyfriend. Took off points because the ending felt rushed, especially when compared with the slow burn romance in the beginning.

Hot, hot, hot monster smut. Enough said. No, but seriously, this was an adorable, sweet, and spicy read with lots of fun tropes and lovable characters. It’s a really short read at just 101 pages, so everything happens rather quickly. On the one hand, we don’t have much time with the characters to dive deeper into more complex ideas and themes; however, it’s the briefness that makes it fun and low-angst. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a quick read, and I especially if you are just starting out with monster romances. It does get a little frustrating with the MFC getting herself into a pickle at the beginning, but once the two MC communicate, it’s smooth sailing from there… well sort of… you’ll see, just read it!

Cute and super short read. I really enjoyed this author’s writing style and adorable plot lines. I hope they continue to write romance novels, and expand them more, so that they are longer with more depth. The author does a great job of conveying emotion and romance in such a short amount of pages. This novella was very fun and lighthearted, but would need to be longer for me to rate higher. One spicy scene, not too graphic. If you like insta-lust/love, quick coupling, grumpy/sunshine, soul mates type of works, then this is an easy read you should try.
