Act Your Age by Eve Dangerfield

I read this book because it was about a girl who fucks her boss and there’s daddy kink. Little did I know it’s actually incest kink despite the author reiterating several times that its “not about that”. She’s fine to say that but this wasn’t daddy kink so much as the man roleplaying as her step father every time they fucked lol. The story was good. The smut was not.

Another day another Rina Kent book that was great. I’m surprised there wasn’t a blood kink with every other kink going on but I digress.

By the end I was literally so tired of guns being pointed at heads bro lol. Anywhomst, this Rina Kent novel was NOT CNC, in a shocking turn of events, but it was still very very good.

The author tried to convince me this man was Daddy but he wasn’t.

Feel as though the title is being very liberal. There was literally like ONE smut scene with any sort of “sinful” behavior and it was literally just dirty talk lol. My boy Elias is a lil vanilla simp but that’s okay. Overall this was cute but it took SO MUCH for me to get into it for whatever reason. This book was just under 300 pages and it felt much longer than the 400 page book I read the day prior.

Best scene, hands down, is when his father dies and he has to become king now and he visits her, drunk in the middle of the night and says “Mother called. My father…. He’s dead.” And she curtesies (because he’s her king now) and he gets choked up as fuck and says “Please don’t. Not you.”

Listen, I know the title is weird and so is the concept, but it was good lol.

Basically an enemies > best friends > fucked once literally 10 pages before the book end and then she tries to leave. This was the slowest mf slow burn bro. It featured a literal three year time jump. They’re cute af though but wish they’d just got together lol. The tagline on that cover has a lot of gall to act like they “weren’t” at any point in the book when I say they fucked 10 pages before the end, I mean it. I would recommend this to people who say "I really enjoyed Beautiful Disaster. Do you know of a book that is damn near identical to that but is an even slower burn?"

This book is another book that like everything could’ve been fixed with the smallest bit of communication and honest to god it was her fault lol. Like she walks away from the dude 3x and every single time she leaves without letting him explain and every single time he has a reasonable explanation that makes sense. Like yeah, he fucks up, but not to the point that she should cut him out of her life completely like she tries to. Then she goes back to him and is like ???? Why don’t you want me back???

I really loved this one because our girlie goes fucking psychotic over the loss of her child and just enjoys torturing people and Kagey baby… he just gives her people to torture. There are several funny scenes where she whines because he kills the person she was torturing and also where she literally makes him play rock, paper, scissors to decide who’s going to get to torture the person and he’s so in love with her and so is everyone else tbh (except the person being tortured, I suppose.)
