Me as the FMC who sees a hot, rich, older dude and kneels for him when he commands her to without correcting him despite not being the literal submissive-for-hire he thinks she is.

I also appreciate the irony of MMC hiring her to try to get back into good graces of his son (her ex) and then fucking her, which has the opposite effect lol.

It was a book & I read it and that's really all I can say.

This whole thing is like a huge cliche, but it was an entertaining, mindless read. I DID think it’d be sadder.

This one was incredibly well written, but kinda boring. Idk, I just expected more because it’s very hyped and I wanted to ADORE it. I am a fan of Nico being like "hey lemme marry this daughter instead" and the dad being like "no, she's already set to marry this creep instead" and Nico being like "okay well that's a nonissue because I killed him actually."

I wanted to love this book because I typically adore Rina Kent's work, but I just didn't.

This book also started really, really well but the second 50% I hated. I loved Calix's relationship with Thalia and how he cared for her when she was young & tried to protect her. I loved the arrangements he made for her to consider her colorblindness. Everything past that was hard to get into.

This book started great and then fell off, in my opinion. Also the author’s trigger page was literally like “I’m not putting triggers, you know what you’re getting into but this is going to be the darkest shit you’ve EVER read.” and literally no it wasn't.

Bro if I was Luca I would cut Aria loose, I'm sorry to say. Like how many times is she gonna backstab my boy? Like every time she doesn't get what she wants, she does as she pleases and fuck anyone who gets hurt in the process and then begs for forgiveness and promises never to do it again just to do it all over again.

Also good for the little brother for becoming part of a different mafia, or whatever, and not giving a fuck about his toxic sisters anymore lol.

I hate Aria more and more as each book progresses. Lily is the youngest sister but somehow the most level-headed out of all three of them.

This was like… not the best thing in the world but HIGHLY entertaining. I get that Aria's terrified but Luca proves he's a good man over and over again and she's so mean to him lol. Like, he fakes their marriage consummation by cutting himself and staining the sheets, he cuts off her cousin's finger for implying he wants to rape her, he stops her dad from hitting her and she's like "this man is a killer! he's horrible!" I lowkey just spent the whole book rooting for Gianna and Matteo to get together instead of focusing on Aria & Luca.
