I read this for a reading challenge (category was a zombie book).

I'm not a zombie person. I feel the same way about zombie books as I do about vampire books, which is I generally avoid them.

This also had a love triangle (or rectangle, if we're being honest) involving brothers, which is another trope I very much dislike.

The pacing was a bit all over the place, and when things finally started *happening* near the end, I was confusing more often than I wasn't.

This is one of the biggest cases of "not for me" that I've ever come across.

2 stars instead of one because I didn't hate it enough to give it a DNF. 😂

Did not finish book. Stopped at 31%.
The characters were so flat and the plot was so boring.

For a contemporary romance, this book spent a lot of time on a relationship that didn't really matter. This made the book feel too long for me. And then the grand gesture at the end is one that I might have personally resented/not appreciated. But anyway...

Mostly cute, but definitely not my favorite romance.

A little too long, drawn out, and slow for me.

This book took me almost a whole year to work through. It's all really good and important information and I wanted to make sure I could take it all in and understand it so I could teach it to my kids.

I put off the last few sections of the book for ages because it was overwhelming to think about processing more information. Turns out most of what I had left were about specific disorders that don't apply to my kids so I was able to skip a lot of it.

Overall, this book has super helpful information and at least one of my kids has been making great efforts to use the strategies in it to help with anxiety. I will definitely be revisiting it in the future.
