I wanted to like this book, and maybe it suffered from an audio narrator that didn't keep my attention. I felt like it went on to long and I easily tuned out the bulk of the book.

Pleasant surprise of a murder mystery. A few laughs out loud moments, quirky characters that were surprising.

Second book by this author that I have DNFed. I don't know if it's just her early writing was more abrasive in my mind or what. I absolutely loved the trilogy surrounding the crows, but this one has rubbed me the wrong way. A lot of not like other girl energy, which I have come to detest

I've been working my way through this series, one after another. They formulaic, but I can deal with that to a degree. I was wanting to know how the whole Leo thing wrapped up. It was not what I was expecting and felt like a let down.

The whole was this SA/rape or was it not grated on me as it was most definitely SA. I did almost throw my headphone off and stop when there was a hint he would be excused because he was drunk. Like no, please stop now.

I was so confused by who Hazel was and it took reading some other reviews to realize the author isn't referencing her own previous work to keep the plots/characters straight. That made me also realize I may be tuning them out somewhat since I didn't even pick up on Vincent drinking bagged blood.

Basil was boring, Sherry was funny, Stephanie's story is what I want to see more of. I know Justin's book is next, and which I have been waiting for since I do like his character.

May be good, but I'm already sensing the vampire/werewolf love triangle and I'm not in the mood for that.
