Getting to be very repetitive. We’ll researched and written, though.

Thanks to Counterpoint Press for the free copy of this book.

 - I was a big fan of LaPointe’s previous book, RED PAINT, and THUNDER SONG is even better.
- LaPointe blends her personal story with larger observations of culture in a way that make the essays unmistakably hers: she has such a unique voice and strong point of view.
- As the book progresses the essays begin to show how each topic is deeply connected to the others in a way that can’t be untangled from the initial colonization of this country.

The 7-10 Split by Karmen Lee

The main characters feel like sisters rather than love interests to me. Also, important biographical and plot details happen off page and we find out about them later through offhand thoughts.

Thanks to Tor Dot Com Books for the free copy of this book.

 - Is there any greater joy than a tightly written, deeply satisfying story? LOST ARK DREAMING gives us that: a fully realized world and complex characters in under 200 pages.
- I loved this blend of sci-fi and fantasy. It’s WOOL x THE DEEP, with heartbreaking individual stories and heart-pounding action.
- It’s hard to discuss much of this book without giving away the plot twist, given that the book is so short. I’ll just say that it didn’t go the direction I thought it would and I loved that. Please read this book!
