A Rogue by Night by Kelly Bowen

While it is a bit predictable, I think this is a good book to get someone out of a reading slump.

Lucius is a bit heavy-handed with his methods of “wooing” Frances. The part where I think he went to far was setting up the concert thing for Frances. She explicitly said she does not want to sing, and he ignores her. I mean….. he ignores all her wishes

1.5 stars. The author made sure to put in everything in this. And that might not be the best thing. A banished prince, a hidden (maybe?) son, a hero two mistresses that creates some sort of thruple dynamic, a compromised heroine, and that's what I remember from the top of my head.
The cover art was cute though

2.5 stars. I understand that them sleeping together was a large part of the plot, but I wish a bit more romance happened.

I love slow burn. The fact they didn’t kiss until past half of the book, but you still felt the tension is great!

3.5. It was cute. Maybe I'm biased? the book before AND after this were so good, so this story came off as a bit dull for me. And cinderella retelling don't normally do it for me. still, it was nice
