I read the first half of this so quickly and I was so interested, but then it slogs right up to the ending. Not my favourite novel from this author.

Thank you to NetGalley, Stuart Turton and HarperCollins Canada for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review.

I still feel like I’m digesting this book a bit, which I tend to find with Turton’s novels. They aren’t your regular whodunit that’s for sure. The setting is amazing and I loved the premise but I did feel like it took a lot of information to get to the ending and the why of the whole thing. Overall though, I did enjoy it and I loved the ending.

I have seen so so much hype over this model and honestly I should have waited until it died down to read it. I did enjoy it and it’s a quick read, but I don’t think it’s as amazing as I was hoping. It’s creepy and dark and slow burn.

Quick read with loads of twists and that ending. The action and twists just left me with my jaw on the floor. Loved it!

Big brother meets survivor for sure. Love how much action they packed into such a short read. Really enjoyed.

This is my first read by this author, but it most likely won’t be my last! I really enjoyed the entire idea behind it - especially since I love a good house flip challenge show! I hated and loved so many of the characters and it was a quick and easy read.

This made me feel seen as a woman who had two miscarriages. Some of the feelings and conversations the main character had with friends and her partner were so so similar to conversations I remember having. It just was an amazing story that got crazy twisted and thrilling!

Can’t wait to meet this author at the end of May. This was beautifully written but extremely depressing.

Thank you to NetGalley, Amber Cowie and Simon & Schuster Canada for the free ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Cowie is one of my favourite Canadian thriller authors out there! This was a very atmospheric novel with amazing twists and an action packed ending! This one kept me guessing who was guilty and I didn’t see the ending coming.

One of the faster paced Miranda novels that I have read and I really enjoyed the twists and characters. A bit over descriptive.
