This was by far one of the most disappointing Jason Pargin books I have tried to read. Jason tends to be a 5 star read so this book was a massive disappointment. The book started off strong but I could not handle the horrific incel rant that just happened. I'm not willing to read a book where the main character is an incel.

The writing was okay. The plot kept me reading but everything else was just meh. This will probably be by last book by this author. I am not the right reader for this.

This would have been a 4 Star read but unfortunately there was a casual rape joke that deducted half a star point. Rape isn't something that is funny and jokes like "i'm not going to rape you" are just not funny. Outside of the joke, this book was cute. I loved watching the characters grow and I really appreciated how they communicated with eachother. The side characters were interesting and I liked the book for the most part.
