I liked the concept of this book a lot but it was pretty slow for me and after a while I just stopped picking it up all together. Just wasn't for me.

A cool take on mythical creatures and an investigation and mystery graphic novel. Also one that takes itself so not seriously. This is fun and the style of art is pretty dope.

I adore this book. This is my second time reading this, this time I listened to the audio book and I recommend this to everyone who has not listened to it yet. The reader breaths to much life in to the book. I enjoyed it like I've never read it just because of the reader. He has voices for all the characters which is a favorite for me.

But, the book this is a perfect book about love and acceptance and what family means. It is also about what love and lack of acceptance does to people as they grow up and what it does to children. An absolute master class in chosen family. TJ KLune does that better than any writer than I have ever read. This book is a warm hug, and makes me cry every time. I am excited about book 2.

TLDR: I'm on my way to get the rest of these books cuz GODDAMN I love them so much! You should read them, do you like fantasy? Cool magic? Great world building? Read these books.

Plot: Okay, I'm going to try to not give anything up for the plot of this book because the plot is amazing and complicated and the players in the main web of the narrative are not all known from the jump which I think is just so neat. I think one of my favorite things in this is that VE Schwab will not even tell you who someone is you will just get a new section or chapter with a name of a person doing something in a new place and you just pick up the plot and go. The magic in this world! OMG! I love a cool magic system and this one is complex but so beautiful and well described. I also love that the different Londons have their on relationships with magic. I want everyone to read this book because I just want to talk about it. Also, this is the first book in a trilogy but it also doesn't end on a cliffhanger and I have never seen that before!

Characters: All amazing! Kell is so powerful and yet he has clear and consistent things he can and cannot do with his power set. I also love that he is complicated and he doesn't always make smart or good decisions. Lila! I love Lila! She's so messy! She's such a good representation of how dressing a certain way doesn't change how you need to identify and she is just so herself all the time, so brave, so badass, and so powerful in a different way than Kell! They are so great. And there are so many more people you meet Holland (UGH) and Rhy (<3) and so many more that you fall in love with and know for mixed amounts of time. I LOVE THIS BOOK.

World building: Being able to construct 3 different worlds that feel so different and interesting in one book is truly a gift. Having Kell jump around through the 3 Londons throughout this book is cool. Touchstones like smell, colors, and even temperatures was such a grounding way of distinguishing the worlds from each other throughout the narratives. Also the magic and capacity for magic was so different in all of them. The feeling of the world in this book is so good, so immersive, and to have there be 3 equally immersive worlds is just so cool. Please read this book, and the rest of the series honestly.

The concept for this is so goddamn funny. Sangwoo Choo is in a group project and is the only one who does anything on that group project, so in retaliation he removes everyone else's names from the project. One of those names was a senior who needed that project to graduate. So, when they later meet up the senior, Jaeyoung Jang makes it his mission to make Sangwoo Choo miserable, because if he needs to be there another semester he may as well have some fun. But, spending all this time together the men may be catching some feelings for each other too, or not? This is a great and fast read for anyone who likes teasing and bickering in their romance, and the art is AMAZING.

Here U Are is an interesting story about an older twink and a younger quiet boy meeting in college. The older boy, Yu Yang is very sweet and confident while Lu Huan, the freshman is very nervous and unsure of himself. Yu Yang tries to take Lu Huan under his wing early in the year and they strike up an interesting and fun friendship. I am looking forward to the rest of this series and seeing where this goes. I also love the art for this. I will say it is not the most memorable plot atm but I did enjoy this volume a lot.

This features many explicit scenes with lots of detailed language. This book is heavier on the spice, but the plot is still there and doing something interesting. I don't know that this book was kinky to me, but others might find it kinky.

TLDR: The plot of this book is really twisty and tense. I blew through the last 30% in a single sitting because I needed to know what was happening. I'm surprised that both characters who I felt a little meh about in the beginning grew on me as much as they did. And although I don't know that I would say I'm a dark romance reader this one kept me VERY invested.

Plot: Okay, this book has so much going on. There is a very compelling and complicated mystery going on throughout the entire book. There is interesting and wild paranormal encounters that happen to mostly Maeve but also Kaden. The town that this mostly takes place is is CREEPY AF. It also really hits on the small conservative religious towns have a creepy air to them that worked so well here. I only downed this to 4.75 and not 5 stars for me because I think them being enemies for so long frustrated me when the reason is a little weak in the end.
It felt like Maeve should have known that Kaden wanted to leave the town more than anything to find out what happened to his mom and brother. It really seemed like they both had the same aspirations and went about it the same way so it didn't make a ton of sense to me why she hated him at the beginning.
And, the only other issue I had with this is while the spice is well written, fits the characters well, and is is hot it sometimes felt like there was so much of it that it took away from the plot. As 2 people so dedicated to the mystery taking place they dedicate a lot of time to sleeping together. But, totally personal opinion.

Characters: Love a changing perspective novel that uses it as well as this one does. There is no going back over anything that has happened it seamlessly progresses the narrative with both characters when it would be more helpful to see it from one rather than the other. I like Kaden, the portrayal of his very bad anxiety is so nice in such a strong and otherwise very masculine man is something I haven't seen before. He also has a migraine disorder which I also haven't seen a lot of rep for before and appreciated. Maeve I also grew to like, she is very prickly but through the narrative you understand why and see he develop and deal with her trauma and her responses to her trauma and upbringing and she is also a very strong character who learns to let people in and I appreciated that.

World: The world building is great. Being from a small town I love reading about small conservative towns. This one uses the small town almost as another main character. The town itself felt like it had personality and it's own mood swings and creepy factor that helped with tension and general vibe overall.

I was given a copy of this book in order to provide an honest review!

I think I have rated all of Therapy Game and Restart 5 starts because this is one of my favorite manga series of all time. These characters live in m head rent free and I love how real their relationships and troubles are. The side characters and plots outside their relationship are also very realistic. As well as Shizuma and Minato's traumas because of their pasts. These men have been through a lot and they are bringing all of that to this new relationship and trying their best to make the best out of their lives and live authentically together. This series also means so much to me as a queer person, there is a lot of beautiful representation in this and I adore how much they deal with wanting to be accepted but also living proudly and the struggle that can be in a conservative environment. UGH this is such a great series ans the spice is GREAT!
