Read for book club. Second chance romances are really not for me, I guess.

TJ Klune meets Practical Magic meets a drawer full of cheese. If you want a cozy fall/winter romance, pick this one up.

This book was incredible. I identify so much with Shesheshen, the amorphous blob monster posing as a human. The entire book felt like a metaphor for being autistic. It was also laugh out loud funny in every chapter.

This is by far one of the worst books I’ve ever had the displeasure of finishing. For the love of god, if the concept sounds interesting to you, can I offer you The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix Harrow or Ink Blood Sister Scribe by Emma Torzs? Or, if you ABSOLUTELY need to read books by straight white men, at least read Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman instead.

I had a little difficulty getting into this book. It seemed to drag a bit for me. But it ended up being super fun in the end. I love Istvhan and Clara.

Things I love: fairy tale retellings, multiple universe theory, lesbians, and Alix Harrow.
