I was bored by about 100 pages in, the characters just rehashing the same arguments they'd had in the first two books and I found the amount of spicy scenes excessive and it overshadowed the plot and felt like it was just page filler.

I was not expecting to be sucked into this as quickly as I was. Perfectly paced, wonderful tentative love and not too smexy time heavy either. Perfect car audiobook, talking about love, grief and video games

Excuse me, but what in the everliving fuck?

That was not at all what I expected! I was thoroughly shooketh to my boots several times, and at one point almost crashed my car when listening (drive safe kids...)

I found Violet and Xaden's relationship grating at some points, and felt like Xaden deserved more than one chapter to see his side of things. The trials at different isles were interesting and kept me invested and on edge.

Holden is just a little prick and Dain somehow redeemed himself in this book - idk how but good for you turning a new leaf bro. Ridoc is an absolute gem and seems to me the only one with a brain.

Given all the memes I'd seen I thought there would be more from Broccoli, but no. Y'all really are just obsessed with a cat being a cat 😺

Tairn continues to be a sassy king and Andarna really came into her own, becoming more independent and vocal about what she wanted.

The end has left me reeling, even a day later I cannot get over it! Send help, I need a new audiobook, stat.

What in the Nature?

I cannot get over how gripping Jade's debut novel was! I was lucky enough to be part of her street team so a huge thank you to Jade and Cranthorpe Millner Publishers for the opportunity to read this arc 💜

I found the storyline engaging, the characters well developed - I particularly found Rosalind's reactions and general anxiety about the situation to be very genuine and probably how I would also react. The world building was brilliant and left me yearning for more. Especially as more of Rosalind and Aalto's relationship is revealed during the Sloth trial.

My only issue with it is that it's too short! I didn't want to leave this world and I cannot wait for the wonders that Jade's brain comes up with next

If you enjoy fantasy and dystopia then this book has the perfect mixture of the two that just keeps you drawn in. I read it in two days (responsibilities who?) and when you read the book let me know, does trial two remind you of a certain scene in Kingsman?
