šŸŽ¶ šŸ’™ The Love Lyric šŸ’™šŸŽ¶

Pub Date: Feb 04 2025

I think this may be my favorite of the series šŸ˜ I knew Iris would be my favorite sister because even though Iā€™m not the oldest (middle child here šŸ‘‹šŸ¾) I have eldest sister tendencies lol. This series has been so fun for a few different reasons but I absolutely love the family and friend dynamics. The side characters really shine and it was great to be in the world of the Greene sisters again. Iris is the definition of a boss lady and Angel has been crushing on her for years. When a work opportunity forces them to be in close proximity, they canā€™t help the connection that follows. This is a slow burn but when I tell you I was swooning. šŸ„° Angel is so sweet and like Iris, I just wanted to protect him. This book has a little bit of everything. Thereā€™s great banter and healthy communication! A little drama and a little heat šŸ”„ Iris and Angel are such relatable characters, it made their love story that much more believable. I highly recommend! And read the other Greene sister installments if you havenā€™t already!

Thank you

This was cute to me! Itā€™s on the slow side, which I donā€™t mind. Farrah Rochonā€™s writing is so easy to understand and get into. The spice is minimal, and itā€™s slightly angsty. The side characters really shine. I feel like you may need to be an animal lover to really enjoy though. There are many moments and plot points where the dogs are the focal point. I feel like you have to actually care about dogs to truly swoon. Overall a really cute read!

I enjoyed this read but it was not my favorite. While I loved the plus size rep and it contains one of my favorite tropes, fake dating, I found most of the characters to be insufferable. Thereā€™s a lot of pining and delusion lol I loved the library aspect. Libraries donā€™t get the shine they deserve so loved that the main character is a librarian and that we can see some of the programs offered. I thought that was really cool. Iā€™m looking forward to the next book in the series.

Rounding up to 3 āļø. I really enjoyed parts of the book. Surprisingly, I liked the new characters that were introduced and the world building kept me intrigued.

Butā€¦this did not feel like a conclusion to the series. It def could have been a standalone/start to a new series or book 3 of 4. Felt rushed. I usually love multiple POVs in fantasy but they did too much with this one. I didnā€™t hate it but itā€™s for sure the weakest of the 3. šŸ˜•
