another fun & cute addition to the Rennfaire romance series ...as I like to call it. lol This one involving fake dating (way better than catfishing, which kind of threw me in the last one).

This is an adult holiday/christmas romcom that has lots of heart and lots of fun. There are two twin sisters, and the plot follows them in two very different locations, a small town bakery in Canada and a LA baking TV show and when the twin sisters swap roles for a bit, both realize that they are better off together than apart. Plus swoony romances. Very hallmark movie and lots of oopsy daisy, adults probably shouldn't pretend to be each other for more than a phone call especially not a week! lol

This book was so deep, dealing with being exceptionally accomplished in life but still not feeling like you’re worthy and especially when both racism & homomisa is stacked against our MC. The romance (f/f) felt so fresh and real, but that’s not the main plot (which I was less aware of going in). I loved our LI and she was weird, and wholly a beautiful character! Really fantastic debut!

Fun, dynamic, story about finding yourself and embracing who you are with all your facets. The fandom was just chef’s kiss and the romance had all the fire young love should!

the drama was excellent, loved this take on the paranormal, QueerAF, especially the sapphic yearning and slow burn romance.

This was meh, for me. I know everyone loves these books and 2 & 3 are rated way better so I have hope when I try the next book.

floored people think this book was slow paced, I barely read fantasy because it is usually very slow paced, and I didn't have the mental capacity to stay with a new world, but DEFY defies that for me, I did not want to put the book down, and wanted to finish asap because I was tapped to find out what was happening.
