This book started really well and was a really interesting look at the racism experienced in the workplace etc. however the Jamaican section was confusing - the stories had no clear narrator and were very hard to follow.

This was the best book in this series so far! I am gutted it is over!!!
This book was very up my street in its literary references compared to the other books, and I loved/think it’s so important that James introduced such a range of literary references to the young readers during the series. Arthurian legends are a favourite of mine and I also loved the Ancient Greek parts. These are literary eras younger readers often go deprived of due to their complexity!

This book was much faster paced than the second one and got straight into the action. I fell more in love with Emily and Wendell’s quirky relationship although I did find Ariadne a tiny bit insufferable. This book continued to do so much amazing world building, discussing different species of Fae and how they are located/how they feel about each other etc
Excited for book 3!!
